Mas só uma curiosidade, o único português que conduziu em prova um GTO foi o António Peixinho, foi numa corrida em Luanda e um dos GTO`s tinha sido inscrito para ser conduzido por uma senhora, esta depois dos treinos e de se ter classificado em último da grelha, achou que a vida dela não era ser piloto e eis que o A. Peixinho, vencedor da corrida anterior com um Ferrari 250 LM é convidado a substituir a dita Srª. Sem treinos Peixinho fez o melhor que sabia, e era muito, mas se o resultado não foi brilhante, para a estória fica a entrada na galeria dos muito poucos que conduziu um Ferrari 250 GTO 1963.
